Welcome to Mama’s Mission of the Month! My hope is that this will help me {and you} follow through on some of the goals that we have set for the month! So, if you are a mama and you want to join in, check out the intro post! (If you have already read the rules, you can easily grab the buttons from the Buttons Tab on the top of the sidebar.)

Mission of the Month

May Mission Update:  I am quite pleased with what I was able to accomplish from my list of May missions…even though I didn’t get it all done. Here is how I did:

Personal:

1. Get up before the kids during the week to have my devotion and prayer time everyday this month. I did great with this except for the time I was on a mini vacation for my sister’s graduation and once we finished up our school year. So, I didn’t do it EVERYDAY but most days!

2. Memorizing four Bible verses. Needs more work!

3. Complete 10 scrapbook pages.

Marriage:

4. Keep flirting!

Parenting:

5. Finish The 5 Love Languages of Children. Awesome book! Check out my review & giveaway!

Homeschooling:

6. Begin incorporating African American history. Did you see the Elijah McCoy printables that I made? Stay tuned, I’ve got lots more to come!

Homemaking:

7. Replace a few of the plants in the garden that have already died.

Ministry/Friendships/Extended Family:

8. Write 2 letters.

9. Decide on a ministry opportunity for my kids.

Blogging/Online Activity:

10. Share my new blogging planner. Check it out here!

11. Finish transferring all of my printable files over from 4shared to my MamaJenn.com site. Almost done!

12. Format the new timeline on my Education Cubes Facebook page.

So, while I did accomplish quite a bit, I still left a few things undone. So…

Mission NOT Accomplished YET

My Mission for June 2012:

Personal:

1. Get up before the kids everyday during the week so that I can exercise, water the garden, and have my prayer time/Bible reading time. (Disclaimer: This is not applicable to our vacation time! LOL!!)

2. Memorize four new Bible scriptures with the kids!

3. Complete 10 scrapbook pages.

4. Make a printable Mama’s Mission of the Month chart as a visual to help encourage me to complete my missions!

Marriage:

5. Re-instate date night!

6. Revisit our 2012 goals!

Parenting:

7. Change up the kid’s chore charts to make them “work” for us a little better.

8. Teach, train, and add at least one more responsibility to each child.

9. Work on finding a way to eliminate (or at least minimize) some of the yelling by me (and the kids).

10. Make Give/Save/Spend pouches for the kids.

Homeschooling:

11. Decide on and read one read-aloud to the kids.

12. Begin planning for the upcoming school year.

13. Commit to the Index Card a Day challenge (except during our vacation).

Homemaking:

14. Clean out the garage.

15. Try making sour dough bread from a starter.

Ministry/Friendships/Extended Family:

16. Write 2 letters.

17. Begin having Cosby Show marathons with our friends!
